Streamers! Snow! Red! Finally, the time had come! I bolted outside, heading towards the town center near my house. Icicles hung off the sides of roofs, buildings were gilded with lights and decorations, and most importantly, love and joy filled the air. In the center of town, many people skated on the ice rink. The open fire, positioned to the right of the ice rink, filled the air with the smell of smoke which combined with seasonal smells including the smell of peppermint and cinnamon. Far, far into the distance, birds perched in trees and wildlife such as deer roamed through the snow. Indoors, children were awaiting christmas and the arrival of Santa Claus. Conversely, outdoors, children were having snowball fights and making snowmen in the thick snow. This memory reminds of what makes this season, the season of love, winter, my favorite season.
